This class is designed for Dads to be or new Dads. We will explore the territory of parenting from a biopsychosocial perspective and help Dads understand the huge changes in life and how to navigate them. The class will help prepare Dads for the role of engagement in their tiny humans lives, help them better support and understand their partner and provide guidance for the transitions and new life ahead of them.
The class will be co-facilitated by Carol Peat, a Parent Educator, Childbirth Educator, Doula, Certified Becoming Us Family Professional and her husband, Rob Peat, a teacher, educator and coach. Both Carol and Rob have worked with families in many capacities over the last 30+ years and are the parents of three really awesome humans.
We will have guest speakers in the class sharing their knowledge on parenting and their lived experiences as family professionals and parents.
There will be an hour break for lunch from 12-1pm. There are many restaurants close by or you can bring a lunch. Their will be snacks available on site during the day.
Each participant will take home a manual, a Dad Swag Bag and will have follow up support after the class.
The fee is $80. To register, email Carol at firstname.lastname@example.org
